STEMtastic

Year 6 have enjoyed a fantastic week of STEM activities and are now looking forward to Health & Wellbeing Week.

One activity the children took part in was catapult making (& testing!).

They also took part in an “I’m a Scientist” workshop. They were able to use an online chat forum to talk to different Scientists about their jobs and the qualifications they needed. They learned about the brain, climate change and dinosaurs!

Loads of fun was had using the Mini Medics box we were sent from Sunderland University to mark the end of #STEMtastic week. They learned some very important first aid skills, listened to each other’s heart using a stethoscope and looked at germs using special hand gel and a UV torch!
